Communications Management

Project Type

Social Media & Communications Management

Date

March 2022 - May 2025

I work with Washington DC artist, Suzanne Brennan Firstenberg, to organize communications and streamline her social media presence. In this role, I devote my time to social media campaigns and communication efforts, while also managing general weekly and monthly tasks for her team.

Our social media goals revolve around amplifying the artist's message online. This includes various social media strategies, including video essay formats and shorter form social media trend formats. We cater our social media efforts to the evolving needs of art and society.

In May 2024, Suzanne Brennan Firstenberg debuted "alienable right to life" in Freedom Plaza in Washington DC. This artwork posed the question, "Do Americans have the right to a life without fear of gun violence?" The exhibition was made of a large scale American flag, which was comprised of the names of victims of gun violence in America as well as a smaller, circular mural where visitors could place their own thoughts on stickers, contributing to the art as a whole.

Social media for this project included in-person management of the site, photography and videography, video editing, and social media distribution on all active platforms.

Daily and weekly tasks include managing website updates and communication reminders, drafting curation summaries and email queries, and researching & scouting speaking opportunities and contacts.
